PIHEC 2022 – Penang attracts the best of Southeast Asia’s Halal Supply Chain

PIHEC 2022 brings a new edge in Halal by focusing on post-pandemic readjustments in global business as well as focusing on Southeast Asia’s Halal comparative advantage

Kuala Lumpur – Penang Halal International, the Halal promotion agency of the State of Penang with the support of Penang State Exco for Trade, Industry and Entrepreneur Development will be convening the 11th Penang International Halal Expo & Conference (PIHEC) on 1-3 July 2022 with the theme “Building Resilience and Sustainability Towards Stronger Growth”at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre in Georgetown, Penang.

Focusing on ASEAN’s Halal Supply Chain, PIHEC 2022 will bring the best of the region’s trade community, as well as discussing burning issues related to post-pandemic readjustments such as digital adoption in Halal, opportunities in the mega FTAs, logistics challenges due to high inflation, global food security and many more.

PIHEC 2022 promises maximum business matchmaking potential, enabling businesses to find promising manufacturers and wholesalers in the ASEAN region, as well as benefitting from an array of programs related to the Halal ecosystem in Penang such as Invest in Penang, Halal Export Opportunities, Halal certification and business training, Tech Lab and many more. Furthermore, PIHEC 2022 will also leverage on Penang histrorically best outstanding performance as the top business and investment destination in Malaysia registering RM76.2 billion approved manufacturing investment for the year 2021.
