HALAL CERTIFICATION VISIT PULAU PENANG COTTAGE

On 6 March 2026- Penang Halal International as the state government agency to promote the Malaysia Halal Verification Certificate (SPHM) has carried out a halal certification visit of Penang cottage to Zyran Resources company which produces bakery products such as cakes and biscuits and operates in Penanti, Seberang Perai Tengah.

Throughout the visit, the company has also received specific guidance through the preparation of halal certification documents, arrangement of plans and procedures that need to be followed in applying for halal certificate. At the same time, PHI has also implemented the MyEHalal account registration to ensure the company’s readiness throughout the halal certificate application period.

Halal Cottage Certification is one of the action plans put under the Socio-economic Development Strategy through Halal Industrial Ecosystem under the core of Socio-economic Development, Penang Islamic Religion Development Agenda 2030 (APAI2030).
Through this plan, the Penang state government is setting targets to ensure that the cottage industry potential to be promoted to be one of the next halal certificate holders grow the business to the better.
