Penang Halal International (PHI) Showcases Penang Halal Industry Potential at Malaysia Halal Showcase 2023 (MIHAS)

20 September 2023 – Penang Halal International (PHI), the esteemed government agency of Penang dedicated to promoting the halal industry, proudly participated in the Malaysia Halal Showcase 2023 (MIHAS), the world’s largest halal exposition, held at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur (MITEC). The event was graced by the presence of the Honourable Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and also attended by Dato Abdul Halim Hussain, Chairman of Penang Halal International.

As a prominent entity leading the charge from Penang, PHI spearheaded the Penang Pavilion, showcasing the vibrant and thriving halal industry opportunities available in Penang. Six distinguished companies and state government agencies hailing from Penang came together under PHI’s banner to highlight the immense potential of the region. The participating organizations included Botany Food Sdn Bhd (F&B), Nashmir Capsule Sdn Bhd (Pharmaceuticals), Fundamental Gains Sdn Bhd (F&B), Amipro Sdn Bhd (Pharmaceutical), AC Synergy Enterprise Sdn Bhd (F&B), and Penang Development Corporation (state government agency).

Throughout the event, PHI actively engaged with both local and international participants in the halal business market. These interactions were aimed at fostering stronger relationships and identifying potential collaboration opportunities for future ventures.
